v1.129 October 2026
Player Shot Maps, STK%, Lineups and Methodology
  • Shot MapsPlayer Shot Maps were redesigned. A season map now shows hexagons instead of single shots: the bigger the hexagon, the more shots from that spot. On a single game, every shot is drawn above the zone numbers, so no shot is hidden anymore. The zone colors use a tighter scale. See it
  • PlayersNew Advanced stat: STK%, the steals and blocks a player makes for every 100 opposing possessions while he is on the court. Top 5%, Top 3% and Top 1% labels now appear on all six Advanced stats. Bottom labels stay on USG% and TS%. See it
  • Team CardsEach team page now has two cards: Team Card Offense and Team Card Defense. The Defense card is new. It adds steals, blocks and what opponents do against the team: shooting, assists, turnovers forced, points in the paint, on fast breaks, on second chances and off turnovers. DREB% moved from the Offense card to the Defense card. Each card has its own PNG to download. See it
  • LineupsShow every unit now keeps the minutes of the short units on a last line, Other short units, so the total adds up to the minutes played. The summary of the player filter includes them too. See it
  • MethodologyReviewed from top to bottom. Home court advantage is now explained as learning from the season, a Player pages section was added, and the Shot Maps and Lineups sections were updated. See it
  • UpdatesThe site is rebuilt once a day, around 14:15 Paris time. It is also updated after a game is over: allow about 20 minutes for all the data to be available. The Match Center home switches to the next round 6 hours before its first game, and keeps showing the previous round for up to 3 days after it ends, so you can still read the last results.
